What small business IT support includes
Small businesses rarely need an IT strategy deck. They need email that works, laptops that are safe to lose, a shared folder everyone can find, and a phone number to call when the printer stops working on the morning of a deadline. Our small business IT support is a deliberately focused plan that covers those essentials well, with a written scope and a monthly price you can plan around.
It is a lighter starting point than our full managed IT service or an outsourced IT department. The plan concentrates on the systems a typical small office runs: Microsoft 365, a handful of Windows or Mac laptops, a router and Wi-Fi, a multifunction printer, and perhaps one industry application. As your team grows or adds servers, multiple sites or stricter security needs, the same relationship can expand into a broader managed IT plan without starting over.
Common small business IT headaches
The owner is the IT department
The person who should be running the business spends evenings resetting passwords, setting up laptops and arguing with internet providers.
A nephew or friend set it up years ago
Nobody knows the admin passwords, which accounts are paid for, or whether the setup was ever secure.
Personal accounts running business systems
Free email addresses, personal cloud storage and shared logins hold company data with no way to remove access when staff leave.
No backup until it is too late
Files live on one laptop or in a single OneDrive account, and the first test of recovery is a stolen bag or a ransomware email.
What the plan covers
Someone to call
A help desk your staff can phone or email during business hours, with each request tracked to resolution.
Microsoft 365 done properly
Business email on your own domain, Teams, shared mailboxes and SharePoint folders set up with sensible permissions and licences.
Laptop care
Windows and macOS updates, disk encryption checks and a simple standard setup for new computers.
Basic security that is actually on
Multifactor authentication on every account, endpoint protection on every covered device, and former staff removed promptly.
Backup you can check
Backup of Microsoft 365 data and key files where scoped, with job monitoring and occasional restore tests.
Vendor wrangling
We deal with your internet provider, printer company and software vendors so you don’t have to.
What’s in and what’s extra
The proposal confirms your list. This is the typical small business plan.

Frequently asked questions
We only have five people. Is that too small?
No. We typically work with organizations of about 5 to 200 employees, and the small business plan is designed for the lower end of that range. Very small teams can discuss a scoped arrangement in the consultation.
How is this different from your managed IT services?
It is a focused version for small, mostly cloud-based offices. Full managed IT adds deeper server, network, security and planning work for larger or more complex environments.
Can you sort out accounts the previous IT helper set up?
Yes. Recovering admin access, moving business data out of personal accounts and documenting what you own is a common first step.
Do you sell laptops and Microsoft 365 licences?
We advise on what to buy and coordinate purchasing through our IT procurement service. Hardware and licences are quoted separately from the support plan.
What does small business IT support cost?
It is priced per user per month. The calculator shows proposed figures, and your written quotation confirms the final price.
